DARCEY and Simple Rhythm hold solid claims in this contest whilst Rio Sands makes a little each-way appeal. We're long on numbers and short on form in this contest and, although racing can always surprise, there aren't too many that can be seriously considered on known form. As this is a seller there are concerns with regards to the chances of the market leaders but Darcey won well enough last time despite hanging badly and she has the speed to be effective at this shorter trip. Simple Rhythm has done most of her racing this season over the minimum but she did win over this trip as a juvenile and has been a consistent performer for the level. She should go well again whilst Rio Sands hails from a yard that has just enjoyed a welcome return to the winners' enclosure and ran well enough in a handicap last time to merit consideration. Faraway Sound lacks a run but comes into this on the figures as does Indian Diva although she was struggling for form when last seen. A lot of the principals are drawn high which may not be ideal but we hope that they can cope as they include our selection, Darcey.
