Verdict

Round The Island has won here and is 8lb better off than when fifth behind HURSTWOOD here three weeks ago but he is viewed as something of a Pontefract specialist whereas Peter Niven’s six-year-old is seeking a fourth victory here and looks as good as ever. Indian Sounds has been well backed the last twice and got back to winning ways at Pontefract and Lezardrieux also arrives in good form. Claim The Stars won in this grade at Thirsk while Woodlands Charm looked to be on the way back at Catterick.
