Verdict
A low key finale and having been involved in a couple of decent maidens, it would be a major disappointment if RUFOOF were not capable of taking a hand. Charlie Hills' filly will have the steadier of 9st7lb on her back but she did finish third in a particularly warm contest at Newbury on her debut and this isn't the strongest of races. Perfect Pasture hasn't been far away in two handicap starts and his chance will be greatly enhanced if they set off at a decent clip. Colours Of Nature didn't show a great deal in four starts last term though Eric Alston is no stranger to having his horses primed to strike on their handicap debuts. Monakova makes a debut for David O'Meara having failed to get her head infront in 11 attempts in Ireland while Cracking Choice often races with plenty of zest and Michael Dods' surprisingly elects to step him up to a sixth furlong.
