It’s a while since GULF OF POETS got his head in front but he was second over track a trip a year ago when 3lb higher and holds Mutamaded on that form. Mick Easterby’s gelding made a promising reappearance over a mile at Haydock and can end his barren spell. Hats Off To Larry won on the soft at Nottingham at the end of last season and has had wind surgery since a run over timber at the start of the year. He shouldn’t be far away while Benadalid likes it here and is better than he showed when favourite at Newcastle recently. Society Red finished ahead of Jus Pires last time and Chelmsford third Amjaady is also interesting back on Turf.
