A horror contest to get this six race card underway and the first time blinkered Jaconet, who is also top rated here is a tentative selection. David Barron's filly is only making her seventh appearance on the track here and indicated that she had some ability in her first two outings before things went rapidly downhill, particularly this season in handicap company. The hope is that the blinkers can revitalize the filly as she has the best form in the book judged on those maidens. Best Suited is another towards the top end of the ratings scale and she steps up to six furlongs after appearing to get out-paced of late over five furlongs. She is another than would be a contender on snippets of her form. Bungie has dropped right down the ratings in recent seasons and blinkers seemed to bring about an improved performance last time but are surprisingly left off tonight. It is almost a year since Stir Crazy last scored and again on picks of his form he would be a place contender but could not be put forward with any confidence on what he has shown lately. Connections of Jevington Star experiment with a drop back to six furlongs for the first time since his racecourse debut. Not a race to be getting heavily involved in and Jaconet is put up as the most likely winner.
