PRINCE EVELITH was a runaway winner at York at the weekend and he is fancied to follow up here at the main expense of Liberally, Wigwam Willie and Rosbay. A strong pace and a dream run on the inside throughout ensured an impressive win last time at York for the selection, and although he may have been flattered, his trainer's bullish comments afterwards (along the lines of 'he'll run at Ripon if he's alive') show some intent to win again. Liberally should improve on a comeback sixth at Newmarket in a decent handicap and he should not be overlooked, along with Rosbay who has shaped well recently and suggested that a win may not be far away, especially over this optimum trip. Similarly Wigwam Willie ran well in defeat last time over this course and distance and warrants respect, although the handicapper has jumped on his back with a 7lb rise in the weights for that loss. Bavarian Nordic and Coeur De Lionne need market checks on their comeback after the winter, whilst Tenjack King is yet to reproduce any of his good all-weather form on the turf in two starts. A tricky handicap this, but we will tentatively side with recent winner Prince Evelith although he is no 'good thing'.
