FARMER GILES sets a fair standard and he is preferred here to Orpen Grey, War Wolf and Senate Majority. A market move for either of the Tim Easterby-trained runners would have to be taken seriously, however both have got some work to do to match the promise of Farmer Giles' three runs to date. Officially rated 73, Michael Bell's colt should be able to take this race with Darryll Holland a good jockey booking. Russian Davis and George Benjamin look two of the more interesting newcomers, although Eric Alston's Clever Molly needs a look too. Orpen Grey represents a trainer who has got another good batch of two-year-olds and this colt showed promise on his Goodwood debut and if he can cope with this shorter trip then he has more than a squeak. Of the others to have raced, Bossy Kitty has shown some ability and Joe Fanning looks a good jockey booking, however it is Farmer Giles who can mow them all down.
