Calabash Cove could be miles better than this mark of 80 and gets the confident vote ahead of Ideally and Plane Painter. Godolphin have started the season ok, not amazing but ok, and the selection, whilst not a stable star, should be capable of scoring off today's mark. Jockey Frankie Dettori will be higher than a meeting of the Bob Marley Fan Club after winning the Derby on Saturday and assuming that the horse handles this quicker ground (sire Rahy did) then he could be hard to beat. Tetouan is consistent and should go well once again but a mile may prove to be his best trip, so of more interest is Plane Painter. He appreciated the step up to this trip when second at Redcar and whilst he doesn't appear to possess an obvious turn of foot, he should plug on for at least a place. At a decent price, Ideally enters calculations. Stepped up in trip for his handicap debut, Barry Hills' son of Mark Of Esteem could run a big race. New Beginning and Nota Liberata have had enough chances, and so we will return to Calabash Cove as the likeliest winner.
