Some lightly raced and potentially well treated three-year-olds in a tricky finale but Bond May Day may provide the answer. Bryan Smart's filly appeared to appreciate the step up to this trip when runner-up at Southwell last week and is able to race off the same mark so should go close under a useful claimer. Grand Halo has shown little over shorter in maidens but is handicapped accordingly and is bred to be better suited by this stiffer test of stamina, being form the same family as 1992 Derby hero Dr Devious. Dunaskin shaped well on his recent return and will be sharper for the outing so has to enter calculations while Rosewings has the services of Darryll Holland which suggests she will be fit enough to do herself justice but Emerging Star looks harshly treated at present.
