Perhaps not as competitive as the size of the field would employ and this looks a good opportunity for Archie Babe to resume winning ways. The John Quinn-trained gelding was a smooth winner for today's rider on the first day of Doncaster's Lincoln meeting and looked unlucky not to follow up when meeting trouble in running at Newcastle last week. The son of Archway still looks fairly treated despite a subsequent 6lb rise and looks the one they all have to beat once again. Middlethorpe has been in winning form over hurdles this winter but looks held by the selection on Doncaster form. Kid'Z'Play is on a fair mark and shapes as though the return to this trip will suit so should give a good account with Kieren Fallon on board while Sky Quest has held his form well on the all-weather of late and is another to consider under Darryll Holland.
