A particularly poor event filled with mainly disappointing types but Littleton Amethyst has some respectable recent form on the all-weather and is the suggestion to small stakes. Joe Naughton's filly was too keen and failed to stay two miles at Wolverhampton last time but had previously recorded a string of placed efforts in low-grade handicaps off similar marks and a reproduction may be sufficient at this level. Time Marches On has claims on his selling hurdle victory at Kelso in November but was disappointing in similar company the following month and has not been seen since so looks worth opposing with his stable under a cloud at present. Jezadil is on a longish losing sequence but has the ability to go close, if fit for her seasonal return, while Marking Time has a chance on his narrow Southwell selling win last month.
