    Verdict

    Oliver's Betty won at Ayr to record her first success in 14 starts while Sands Chorus was beaten at the latter track having landed a claimer here before that. EPHEMERAL failed to win when trained in France but was having only her second start for a new yard when beaten a length at Lingfield last month and may finally get off the mark in this. Mac Ailey’s only success to date came on testing ground but El Jefe finished runner-up over track and trip when last seen on the Flat.
