In depth

Verdict

Makram found only one too good in this grade at York last month and another bold bid is expected. Good Birthday passed the post first at Newmarket but was demoted to second and is preferred to Baryshnikov, who won a lower grade contest at Chester. Hartswood steps up in distance having placed over a mile at York and is preferred to Anythingtoday while both First Impression and FAYLAQ (NAP) drop back down in trip. The latter’s yard won the last renewal of this and having found Group 2 entry Zabeel Champion too good back in handicap company at Newmarket last time, the Haggas charge is fancied to go close again today.
