Stardayz has the edge on official ratings though she hasn't shown much since a couple of decent efforts at Dundalk in the autumn. ELOSO had looked a likely future winner when narrowly beaten at Sligo and was badly impeded in a Naas handicap next time. He may be good enough though Knocknakilla was beaten less than a length in a Gowran handicap earlier this month and Shane Foley replaces an apprentice. Thunder Rain has disappointed in two starts but this trip and lower grade should enable him to get competitive while Rare Flower ran easily her best race to date in a Fairyhouse handicap on Friday. Whyzzat was with the leaders for a long way in a 1m2f claimer on that same card.
