Verdict
VALLEY OF ROCKS showed promise over 7f last season and attempted to make all when stepped-up to a mile at Chepstow on his reappearance. He was well clear at this trip but faded inside the final furlong so should have the pace for this. Black Salt made a fair start here in October and though unable to cope with the long odds-on Yalawin at Ripon it was a good performance and there should be more to come. Don Valentino ran well for a long way on his belated debut at Musselburgh earlier this month and his stable continue to fire them in while Richard Fahey's Pipers Way is by the sprinter Piccolo out of a stoutly-bred mare.
