Local trainer James Moffatt always has his string primed for Cartmel fixtures and was rewarded with a winner at the truncated fixture on Saturday. Let's hope he can kick off this programme with a winner in the shape of GOLDEN TOWN. The ex-Godolphin gelding continues to perform with admirable consistency without getting his head in front but maybe his Flat speed can prove decisive on the long run-in. He did win on soft ground too when in the care of Saeed Bin Suroor. Dear Sire has a penalty to handle but has every chance if forgiven a disappointment last time, with Hazamar also of interest along with the unexposed Its Pandorama.
