In depth

Verdict

MIXED MESSAGE found the much higher-rated Innsbruck too good in a similar contest over track and trip earlier this month. He meets nothing of that calibre in this and, though well beaten at Doncaster on Friday, is preferred to Les Gar Gan. The latter beat weaker opposition in a Leicester seller recently but should be in the mix once again. Bold And Free went close in this grade last month but, like the rest of the field, has a tough task on today's terms.
