In depth

Verdict

Clifford Lee, who rides the selection in the first division of this, has a more obvious chance on board TRICKY DICKY, who has been in fine form this summer, winning at Catterick and Ayr and over this track and trip in April. He can go in again though Goninodaethat ended a long losing spell at Ayr a couple of weeks ago and is still fairly treated though the placed horses, Wahaab and Rock Canyon, must both have chances of reversing the form at the revised weights. Indian Pursuit has been racing on ground too quick during the summer and did better on Tapeta at Newcastle last time so he's one to consider while the veteran Captain Scooby took advantage of a very lowly all-weather mark to gain the 16th victory of his career on his 173rd start at Chelmsford. Macho Mac showed potential last season and started favourite on his reappearance in April but ran poorly and the long absence is a concern.
