Tajweed is more potential than proven ability at present and so he cannot be too hot a fancy; Platoche comes a fair way for his debut and Peter Chapple-Hyam's colt gets the nod. A son of Galileo, the selection is probably starting off at about the right trip. His sire won on his debut and whilst he will have to go some way to fill his boots, he looks to have found a weak race. Main rival Tajweed showed a semblance of ability on two starts last season and with another winter on his back he should be a force to be reckoned with especially as on breeding he shouldn't mind the recent rain/sleet/snow. Albaqaa changed hands at the Doncaster 'Horses In Training' sales and may be one who appreciates the extra distance today, whilst Zabougg and Caffari are both potential imp rovers. Not the greatest maiden here however we fancy the chances of debutante Platoche.
