Not a contest to set the pulse racing however the pin comes down on the admirable old-timer Sawwaah; Basinet, Bedouin Blue and Ming Vase make up the shortlist. One of the most consistent horses in training, Sawwaah now has a new home with Declan Carroll having formerly been a rock for Tom Dascombe. He was a runaway winner at Wolverhampton three weeks ago and equally as effective on turf, the 11-year-old can come out on top again. Basinet has shown enough over hurdles this winter to suggest that he can land a weak race now back on the turf and this is his level, whilst Bedouin Blue comes from a shrewd yard and needs a check in the betting with the headgear tried last time now discarded. Donna's Double and Rotuma both have winning course form, and along with Skye But N Ben would not be shock winners. Riverhill is yet another to consider at a price but for the winner we will take Sawwaah to add to his ¿83,000 win prize money.
