Ronald Barr's JUST SAM was narrowly beaten behind Yorkshire Blue here last time and she looks worth siding with on that evidence, getting the vote ahead of Kingsgate Castle and Ghost Dancer. Milton Bradley's gelding ran on well when successful at Warwick last month but a 5lb rise for that win may prevent him from following up. Julie Camacho's Elkhorn has been running consistently well of late and makes more appeal than Tom Dascombe's Maryolini, who would need to step up on recent efforts to trouble the judge. The David Evans-trained Gurteen Diamond is less exposed than most of these but he looks a shade high in the weights and of more interest may be Kingsgate Castle. Gay Kelleway's gelding has run to a decent level of form of late and he should be thereabouts again but preference is for Just Sam, who is taken to record another success at a track where he goes better than anywhere else having won here three times previously.
