Verdict

A moderate finale, and the longest race on the card, which could well see a hat-trick completed by MASTER NIMBUS, with Terenzium and Merrion Tiger also on the shortlist. The latter two of those successes were over course and distance; he's a versatile sort having also won chases and hurdles, so he's kept busy with this being his 57th race. He'll stay all day, the rain won't be a problem, and he sets the standard. Terenzium is nought from 23 on the flat, having done better jumping, but he showed some ability in this code in a moderate Doncaster race last time out, and again won't be inconvenienced by testing conditions. Merrion Tiger likes to get his toe in, and with his only career wins having come on the Fibresand at Southwell, these conditions should suit. Top Rocker is having his first flat outing for a couple of years and any support should be noted, but we think the one to beat in the lucky last is Master Nimbus.
