      Verdict

Only the six runners are declared for this Juvenile Novices¿ Hurdle and while any of the debutantes could be anything it¿s hard to oppose FONGOLI with Location and Highland River looking the nearest challengers. The selection was only moderate on the level but has improved markedly since taking on hurdles. He followed a pleasing debut in this sphere with a cosy enough success last time and he¿ll have further help to follow up with Tony McCoy returning to the plate. Location has a similar level of flat form to that of the selection and should stay this trip. However it¿s asking a lot to beat his in-form rival on his first start over timber. Highland River has the best flat form in the field but his stamina for this trip is not guaranteed while The Boat Shed maybe able to build on a solid jumps debut. Not the strongest contest to start the card but Fongoli has really solid claims.
