Champion trainer Paul Nicholls is doubly represented in this Beginners Chase by Rippling Ring and R De Rein Sivola but he might have to play second fiddle to David Pipe who sends out MUTUAL FRIEND. Based on their hurdles marks both the pick and Rippling Ring are closely matched but after some good performances over timber this season Mutual Friend is in the better form and should capitalise on that on his chase debut. Rippling Ring will have the advantage of already having seen fences after finding just one too good in a small field at Hereford in March. He's not be seen since and we'd prefer to watch him on his return. R De Rein Sivola looks to be the Nicholls second string on jockey bookings and based on his recent hurdles form has plenty to find on the two we've mentioned. However, a return to his Novice timber form has him bang in the picture. Safari Journey is the only other we consider having scored on his only start here but again on hurdles form he has plenty to find so Mutual Friend can be the punters pal this time.
