TOUR D'AMOUR is the only one here to come into this contest on the back of a win, and we'll side with her ahead of Singora Lady and Paint Splash. It's a poor contest though, and consistency isn't any of these speciality, hence why they're at this level. Something has to win it though. Tour d'Amour's win here earlier in the month was her first in three years, and over slightly further; she's well in at the weights, has a good draw, and a repeat of that previous success could be more than enough to land this. Singora Lady's been running recently in fillies' handicaps; placed last time out after winning at Pontefract, which represents a stiffer test than here, she's usually involved at the finish, but only rarely first home. Paint Splash has only been out of the first three twice in her last nine outings, but only won one of them, and that was a Southwell seller. She should be fine with some cut in the ground, which does increase her appeal. However, in a poor contest, we'll side with Tour d'Amour.
