A trappy handicap this, albeit the richest race on the moderate card, and tentatively we'll side with RED CAPE, who can expect strong challenges from Glasshoughton and Piste. Ruth Carr's getting a growing reputation, and Red Cape has been proving a useful sort this season, with three wins and places in his last nine runs. The rain shouldn't be a problem; he's giving weight away to all bar Invincible Force and Errigal Lad, but has a tremendous attitude and seems to absolutely love the game, and is usually in the thick of things from the off. Glasshoughton will appreciate the rain, and although on a long losing run, showed some improvement last time out. Piste was a winner last time out, after previously being regularly placed. It's been a while since she's raced at this distance, with most of her runs coming over the minimum trip. Any support for Dandy Nicholl's Cape Vale could be significant, but our preference is for Red Cape.
