Verdict
BAYLAY has the best piece of form on offer when finishing sixth of 13 in a useful maiden at the Newmarket Craven meeting behind Global Force but the son of Blame bombed out next time when tailed off last around the idiosyncrasies of Chester. He wouldn't be the first to be bewildered by the Roodeye and is afforded another chance returned to a more conventional track. Diamond Reflection didn't sparkle on his belated debut for Godolphin but is expected to progress with that run under his belt and looks next best. Mark Johnston's newcomer, Precarious and James Fanshawe's Smooth Operator are both worth a check in the market and complete the shortlist.
