We take a chilly viewpoint on Tres Froide in this race but it is worth noting Aussie Blue whose half-brother Tabaret is a previous course and distance winner whilst APPLAUDE is our selection. The pick has won over this sort of trip at Hamilton last month and has previously shown his ability to handle the course in his sole appearance at this track. Richard Guest has a 25% record at the course this year and can add to that tally today. Tres Froide spent much of her early career in France and has won on both sides of The Channel, including a victory here last year. She has claims but not based on recent form which has been disappointing. Aussie Blue's last win came at this course last year and connections will hope for a repeat today. However his recent performances have been poor and he has a lot to find to challenge for the honours. We side with Applaude who has the best recent form.
