Go Nani Go and Red Cape look evenly matched based on the weights in this handicap and should be close come the finish but we take a risk on SIR NOD who has shown some really good runs this year. The selection won at Thirsk in April and has been close in two runs since then. Julie Camacho has a really good record with her older horses at Redcar with a 27% strike-rate and with Paul Hanagan retaining the ride today she has every chance of scoring with Sir Nod in this race. Red Cape beat Go Nani Go at Doncaster in June but with the weights closer this time it should be another interesting battle; however Ian Brennan's claim could be the difference between those two. Peter Island has won on the all-weather and also on the turf this year with Tabaret and Just Sam previous course and distance winners. This is an interestingly shaped handicap where we give the nod to Sir Nod.
