      Verdict

      OPERATIVE looked far from straightforward at Doncaster last month and he wouldn't be one to take a short price about but he's run well in much stronger maidens than this and gets another chance. Dacoity hasn't been beaten far on several occasions and found 5f too short at Doncaster a couple of weeks ago so he may be the one to take advantage if the selection doesn't come up to scratch again. Coronation Day started out with a very good run at Wolverhampton before running reasonably in a much tougher maiden at Newmarket so she's probably capable of better while Silver Sands looked as though this sort of trip was required when tackling the minimum at Beverley.
