Verdict
Midnight Warrior won over track and trip last May but hasn't been running well which is why he's 2lb lower. NONAGON looked ready to step up in trip when scoring over 1m3f at Hamilton before an excellent run over 2m on Newcastle's Tapeta surface. Adam McNamara's claim can see him back in the winner's enclosure. Cape Hideaway didn't run badly when third here last month and this is his trip though he needs to find a finishing burst. Pencaitland was a close fourth to Kiwayu here last month so a big run from the winner in the previous race will point to her chances while Stoneham stays extreme distances and will be plugging on at the finish when others have had enough.
