A dire seller and PRECIOUS CORAL can make full use of a drop in grade to see off Royal Patriot and Jehu. Rated 70 and with a featherweight of 7st 12lbs; there is plenty of encouragement to be with Simon Callaghan's filly. That said, connections are evidently not going to be worried about losing her services by trying their hand at this level. Royal Patriot has had just the one run thus far. Despite being particularly well bred, there was not a great deal to shout about on intro at Newmarket. Jehu finished second behind Al Khimiya at Kempton recently. The form was given a boost though Jehu has gone on to disappoint since at Catterick. Sydney Bridge was not disgraced in a median auction stakes at Ayr; especially as the winner went on to a dead-heat success at York next time around. Pepper Lane does not exactly appeal as a seven furlong type and is opposed. Social Grace is exposed though could not be dismissed as a plausible option for each-way backers. Newton Circus won a plating event for Richard Hannon at Kempton though could not reproduce that effort on first run for Ollie Pears. Light Night is in the unexposed category and from a shrewd yard, the market is accordingly watched. Precious Coral is the pick.
