Tag Team gets the nod over Up Tempo, with Rudi's Pet and Obe Bold a couple of others to consider. Dandy Nicholls is double-handed with Lord Of The East and Rudi's Pet, and it is the latter that is of more interest, although at the age of 11, his best days are behind him. He would absolutely eat these for breakfast if showing a semblance of the form that saw him land a Group 3 at Leopardstown and a Listed race at Epsom a few years ago, but enthusiasm is tempered by the fact that he has had just one outing since 2003, and that was in this sort of company at Doncaster a week ago. He failed to get involved and finished behind stablemate Lord Of The East, but his trainer would not let the old boy continue surely if he did not think there was at least one more win to come. Up Tempo ran a respectable race at Newcastle recently but is better with more cut in the ground, while Obe Bold is thoroughly exposed but won on fast ground over the course and distance last year. If time has not taken its toll completely though, Rudi's Pet can upstage his younger rivals.
