Course specialist Lucayan Dancer needs to be added to any shortlist for this claimer but topping our roll of potential winners is LA COLUMBINA who looks best on these terms matched with the top rated Wovoka. It is a little disappointing that the selection couldn't pick up where she left off last season when landing back to back races in this company with the filly's runs looking under par so far this term. There was a glimmer that she was showing some form last time and if she is back to near her best then she has the terms in her favour. Wovoka disappointed when trying one of these races last time out but he loves quick ground and his handicap win off a mark of 80 in May is the best bit of form on display here so it wouldn't be a surprise to see him going close. Lucayan Dancer has won three of his six starts at the track and while he has a bit to find according to the official ratings he is on top form and goes well in these conditions. Royal Fantasy wasn't far beaten in listed company last season but hasn't reproduced anything like that recently and with the others having plenty to find we opt for La Columbina.
