Verdict

Richard Fahey's SUNNYSIDE TOM has been running well in handicaps but appreciated the drop into a claimer when beating Moody Tunes at Carlisle last month and he can follow up in the same grade today, giving weight away all round. Paul Midgley's Muftarres meets the selection on only 4lb worse terms than is this was a handicap so cannot be discounted, while Richard Guest's Applaude comes here on a hat-trick following wins here and at Musselburgh but this is tougher than those races. Dragon Slayer is not badly treated at the weights but needs to improve and of more interest may be Frontline Girl, who has run well in her last two starts and represents the yard of John Weymes that has been in better form of late.
