Geoff Harker's City of The Kings won well enough when successful at Ripon on Monday but a 6lb penalty for that win may prevent him from following up and preference is for CHEERS FOR THEA, who can gain a deserved success. Tim Easterby's mare has been the model of consistency in recent starts having been placed in each of her three outings since winning at Carlisle in June and she can go one better than at Thirsk last time when narrowly beaten by Signor Verdi. Richard Fahey's Bolodenka has been running well in defeat in recent starts and should again be thereabouts for his in-from yard. Jeremy Noseda's Brannagh struggled off his new mark at Epsom last time and is likely to do so again with a bigger threat likely to come from the consistent Chosen Forever. Cheers For Thea has done little wrong of late though and can resume winning ways.
