    In depth

    Verdict

Los Organos has an obvious chance in a race that lacks strength in depth and is preferred to Arous and Kazatzka, who rate the main dangers. The selection was highly tried as a juvenile but has been running at a more realistic level this term and ultimately lost little in defeat behind a back-to-form Traprain at Ripon over this trip last time. A reproduction of that form may suffice for Peter Chapple-Hyam's filly. Arous has to be respected stepping up in trip and while she is entitled to improve for the longer distance, she is not certain to stay it. Gerard Butler's Beauchamp Trump makes a belated reappearance and may be best watched for the moment, while Rose Bien needs to improve on all known evidence. A bigger threat is likely to come from James Fanshawe's Kazatzka, a half-sister to the stable's Soviet Song, who has failed to live up to expectations in two starts on the all-weather so far. Los Organos has found her level though and she gets the vote to open her account.
