Azizam finished only a length behind a 77-rated rival in a Nottingham maiden last time so looks well treated for his handicap debut on a mark of 74 and is preferred to Askwith and Major Magpie. The last mentioned is less exposed than most of these particularly over this trip but is far from certain to get it on pedigree and may be best watched. Similar comments apply to Jamie Osborne's Mr Aitch, who cannot be discounted on his first start over 1m2f, while Avontuur receives plenty of weight but has given little sign for encouragement of late. Kerry's Blade is difficult to recommend and of more interest may be Richard Whitaker's Mr Maxim, who is coming back to a fair mark. Gerard Butler's Muzdaherha has claims on the pick of her form along with James Bethell's Askwith, who has to be respected on the evidence of the form shown in a Haydock claimer two starts ago. Azizam has an obvious chance on the form shown last time though and is taken to give Peter Chapple-Hyam another winner.
