    In depth

    Verdict

This is another big field but it is not as competitive as the numbers would suggest, and we'll take a chance on Silver Coin, with Triplemoon and Party Ploy also on the shortlist. Silver Coin ran in a similar contest to this at Catterick, winning well when defeating Dr Julian. He has risen in the weights for that win, but should still go close. Party Ploy was a fair fourth behind Ducs Dream last time, but he gave the impression that the handicapper had caught up with him. Triplemoon could be a more realistic danger after a course and distance win last time out against Jenavive. But he will find things tougher under his penalty in this more competitive contest. Toni Alcala could be worthy of consideration after running well from a good draw to be fourth behind Snow's Ride last time. However, the winner of that contest has since disappointed under a penalty. Not a great race, and we are happy to side with Tim Easterby's Silver Coin.
