Distant Country will be popular here, but it may just pay to take a chance on Adobe who looks to be returning to form and is on a handy mark. The selection was staying on strongly at the finish at Ascot last week in ninth place behind Pagan Prince, but that run was better than the bare form would suggest. He is dropping in the weights and could go well at an attractive price. Distant Country is the obvious danger after a cosy win here last time, but that was a weak race, and we think he is worth taking on. Top Dirham has been in fair form this season but would now appear to be in the handicapper's grip, while Shifty could be interesting after finishing in front of our selection Adobe last time. Both Shifty and Adobe looked like they might be horses to follow on that day, but slight preference is for the latter who looks to have a solid chance here of getting back to winning ways.
