    Verdict

It might just be that connections have found the key to CAREY STREET and it will be interesting to see if Joanna Mason again employs the hold-up tactics which saw the gelding swoop fast and late to oblige at Beverley last time. He's a good traveller through his races and a rise of 2lb for that latest success in East Yorkshire is perfectly acceptable. Little Ted's reliability means that he's steadily climbing the handicap but he does continue to run with real solidity and should be there or thereabouts once again on the back of two strong recent efforts. Broctune Red bounced back to form last time and Livia The Empress makes most appeal of the three-year-olds.
