Verdict

One favourite has won this in 13 years. Colms Dream will be near the head of the market after taking advantage of a much lower hurdles rating at Down Royal, though he's 14lb higher than his previous victory over fences at Leopardstown. He's won twice over the track and trip so has to be respected as has the progressive Pairofbrowneyes, who comfortably saw off Killer Crow at Limerick when last seen in December. Captain Conan won the Grade 1 Scilly Isles Novices' Chase and the Manifesto at Aintree in 2013 but hasn't won subsequently though this will be his first start in a handicap and he could be well treated. Rogue Trader came good over two miles at Naas but will need much more while Followmeuptocarlow hasn't won for two years. TED VEALE (NAP) hasn't run over fences since third to Un De Sceaux in the Ryanair at this meeting last year. He's been running well over hurdles and on the Flat and is taken to return to the bigger obstacles with another success.
