A weak maiden with interest in newcomer, Double Turn and the exposed pair of Clever Cloggs and Super Cannes. James Given's Double Turn is a son of Double Trigger and with his father being one of Yorkshire's most famous horses, there will be plenty of interest in him among the local punters. Clever Cloggs is the highest rated of those to have seen the racetrack. The daughter of Nashwan produced an encouraging second to Sayadaw at Leicester over eleven furlongs and if she handles the extra furlong. she is the one they all have to beat. Super Cannes has run in maidens at the more illustrious tracks but has looked a tad one-paced when push comes to shove. The fact that Darryll Holland has come here for the ride makes him interesting. Lahob and Longmeadows Boy look hard to fancy on all racecourse evidence. Having considered the options, we will side with Ed Dunlop's charge and will make Clever Clogs.
