Billy Allen sets the standard here but there are a couple of interesting newcomers in the shape of Taruskin and White Hawk, with the latter likely to be forward enough to win first time out. David Loder has had phenomenal success with his juveniles this term and White Hawk, a Silver Hawk half-brother to useful two-year-old Grizel, looks a likely type on breeding. Neville Callaghan's Taruskin was an expensive purchase as a yearling and would be interesting if the market spoke in his favour. Mark Johnston's youngsters have been in good form at Royal Ascot this week but Carte Sauvage is entitled to need his fist outing. Kempton fourth Billy Allen has the best form of those to have raced but is not certain to appreciate the step up from five furlongs to seven. Breezit, who disappointed at Bath last time, looks ready for this longer trip but faces a stiff task against the Loder horse White Hawk, who is taken to further enhance his trainer's fine record this term.
