Beauty of Dreams, Fairlie and Beacon Blue look to be the one's for the shortlist on the opener. Beauty of Dreams ran a very decent second to Voile on debut at Newbury. She looked a little green on the day but went into many notebooks as a future winner and looks the one to be one. Fairlie represents the old firm of Fallon and Ramsden. The combination have been fearsome at this track in the past and this daughter of Halling ran a cracker at the track earlier this month when finishing fourth to Spring Dancer. Beacon Blue hails from a yard that are sending out winners left, right and centre. She is another to have previous experience of this Pontefract circuit and caught the eye on her sole visit. Capetown Girl has a stout staying pedigree and may be better in time. Poppys Footprint's pedigree is more precocious and she hails from a yard that look to be just about heading into form at the moment. Jiffie's Flyer and Kedross would need to show improvement in order to win this.
