It's eight years since a favourite won this. Richard Fahey was successful a year ago and Gin In The Inn should make a bold bid though he's held by RAVENHOE on their 1-2 at Nottingham. The latter was conceding 5lb that day when scoring by a length. He had also been successful in the Brocklesby at Doncaster which means he was conceding 10lb when runner-up to Areen at York last week. He can get back to winning ways though Carrington looked a nice type when scoring easily at Chelmsford and should do better. Sir Dudley was 8l behind Ravenhoe in the Brocklesby before scrambling home at Nottingham but Taking Libertys overcame trouble in-running to score at Beverley and tonight's extra furlong will be a big help.
