      Verdict

Mr Wolf kept on well when scoring at Ayr on Monday and has to be respected but faces no easy task giving weight away all round and preference is for Pine Bay, who gets the vote ahead of Mugeba. The last mentioned is probably in better form than anything else in the field at present but this represents a step up in class for Gay Kelleway's filly and she probably has too much to do at the weights. David Nicholls has his string in good order at present so Hamaasy has to be respected although recent form gives little cause for optimism, while Times Review may find the going too fast for him. Winthorpe and Cyfrwys have claims on the pick of their form but the vote goes to Pine Bay. Richard Hannon's yard could hardly be in better form right now and, with conditions to suit, the daughter of Sure Blade looks worth chancing.
