Fairy Shoes and Ming Meng are interesting newcomers worth checking in the market but we'll take ISLAND RHAPSODY to put experience to good use over Picnic Party and Aqua Vitae. Andrew Balding's filly is related to a number of winners and shaped with real promise on her debut when fourth to a trio of horses who had the benefit of previous experience. It's a slight concern she's dropped in trip ahead of her second start at seven furlong seems set to be ideal, however the cut in the ground and stiff finish will hopefully allow her to get away with it and she's worth the vote. Picnic Party split two interesting types when second on her third start, her first for David Elsworth. That came at Lingfield in what looked an interesting maiden and as she was keen this drop to six furlongs looks a good move, so we'd expect her to go close in a contest that is probably no stronger. Aqua Vitae was behind Island Rhapsody when the pair met at Kempton and, as Mark Johnston's inmate had already had a run, we'd expect our selection to have more scope for progress. However, the yard remain in fine form and it'd be foolish to rule out anything representing them, so Aqua Vitae is respected. Fairy Shoes must be considered for Richard Fahey and Paul Hanagan, a combination to be feared at present. She's bred to sprint and is a full sister to the very smart Corrybrough, a horse who took second on his debut, so if the market makes the right noises it'd probably pay to take note. She's slightly more interesting than Ming Men who is bred to prefer better ground and is just about opposable here. Maid In Heaven showed some promise on her debut but needs to improve for this switch to turf as do Green Secret and Carrie's Magic in a race taken to go to Island Rhapsody.
