Richard Fahey trains BRIAN THE SNAIL for Godolphin and the grey made a successful debut here before a very impressive victory at Catterick. That earned him a mark of 95 so he'll need to have improved over the winter but there's every chance he may have done so. Battered ran three times at York and wasn't beaten far in any of them though his only victory came in a Yarmouth maiden. He looks reasonably treated on 82 though Chipping could be the fly in the ointment at the bottom of the weights as he looked one to follow when landing a Redcar maiden. Jule In The Crown landed a Windsor novices' contest in May before a fine run in a Sandown Listed contest and it was no disgrace to find Ascot's Queen Mary Stakes beyond her. Mijack had all of his three starts at Haydock, comfortably landing a maiden in September, and is another to note in an interesting handicap that should produce winners.
