In depth

Verdict

Jan Van Hoof was conceding 3lb to Sir Billy Wright when beating him at Wolverhampton and the runner-up is now rated 75 so Richard Fahey's charge looks quite well in for his reappearance. SCORELINE loves fast ground and was just touched off when conceding 16lb to Iggy here in April. Josh Doyle's claim gives him a fine chance of going one better and he just holds the veteran Oldjoesaid and Spring Bird on latest running at Ripon. Sleeping Apache only went up 2lb for a narrow victory here in April and may not have enjoyed the softer ground last time. Bashiba was staying on at the finish at Nottingham and should be fighting fit after two runs following a long break but Bronze Beau is 7lb higher than his victory at Hamilton.
